The Teaching & Learning Collective(“we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by Dr. Nicole Moriarty, respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you use https://www.theteachingandlearningcollective.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you submit a contact form, quiz, or waitlist request, we collect your name, email, and any optional details you provide (phone, district/organization, role, and your message).
- Usage information. Basic analytics (pages viewed, referring source, approximate location, device/browser) via Google Analytics 4 to understand and improve the site.
- Marketing attribution. UTM parameters and referrer, so we know which channels bring people to the site.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and provide the services you request.
- To send transactional messages (confirmations, session and event updates).
- To send our newsletter or occasional updates, if you opt in (via Substack).
- To improve the website and understand what's useful.
SMS / text messaging
If you provide a phone number and check the SMS consent box, you agree to receive text messages from The Teaching & Learning Collective related to your inquiry (for example, appointment reminders, session updates, event RSVPs, and replies). Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase or service. We do not share or sell mobile opt-in data or consent with third parties for their marketing.
Cookies & analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure site usage. Analytics load in a consent-aware mode with advertising storage disabled. You can block cookies in your browser or opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the site and communicate with you — for example, our email provider (Resend), SMS provider (Twilio), database/hosting (Supabase, Railway, Cloudflare), analytics (Google), and newsletter (Substack) — and only as needed to provide these services, or when required by law.
Data retention & your rights
We keep inquiry and lead information as long as needed to respond and maintain our business records, then delete or anonymize it. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise these rights, email nicole@theteachingandlearningcollective.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Student data (district clients)
For district engagements that involve student records, The Teaching & Learning Collective acts under the direction of the district and applicable agreements. Any such data is access-controlled and handled in accordance with FERPA and the terms of the district contract.
Children
This site is intended for adults (educators, administrators, and parents). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
